Wednesday at The Fillmore on May 18

Alternative rock band, Wednesday, have announced a 2024 North American tour following the success of their most recent album, Rat Saw God. The band will be making a stop in San Francisco at The Fillmore on May 18.

Wednesday is the personal songwriting project of singer-songwriter and guitarist, Karly Hartzman. Hartzman formed Wednesday in 2017 and put out the group’s debut album entitled, yep definitely, in January 2018. The group would continue to grow and release music over the following years. Wednesday is Karly Hartzman, guitarist Jake Lenderman, lap steel player Xandy Chelmis, bass guitarist Ethan Baechtold, and drummer Alan Miler.

The group have put out a total of five studio albums, with their most recent, Rat Saw God, having released in April. Rat Saw God is not only their most successful album to date, but also their most widely acclaimed, finding spots on multiple year end lists and received positive reviews from major music publications.

Blending elements of rock, shoegaze, and country, Wednesday are quickly becoming one of the most talked about bands in alternative music. Fresh off the heels of a wildly successful 2023, Wednesday is likely to continue down an exciting trajectory moving into the new year.
