British hardcore rock band, IDLES, have announced a 2024 tour in support of their upcoming album, Tangk. The band will be making a stop in San Francisco at The Warfield on May 11.

IDLES have been active since 2009, spending their early years getting coordinated as a band before releasing their first EP, Welcome, in 2012, and their second EP, Meat, in 2015. They would finally release their debut full length album, Brutalism, in March 2017 to universal critical acclaim.

The band spent the following year touring the record and even opening for Foo Fighters at the O2 Arena. Their second album, Joy as an Act, released in August 2018 and earned them a nomination for Best Breakthrough Act at the 2019 BRIT Awards. Their third album, Ultra Mono, arrived in September 2020.

IDLES fourth full length effort, Crawler, released in September 2021 and earned them two Grammy Award nominations for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Album. They are currently gearing up to released their fifth studio album, Tangk, on February 16.

The band has been described to have a punk rock sound but have denied being a punk band. Their energetic performances, consistent catalogue, and prolific released have made them one of the most talked about bands in the current British rock landscape. IDLES is lead vocalist Joe Talbot, bassist Adam Devonshire, lead guitarist Mark Bowen, drummer Jon Beavis, and rhythm guitarist Lee Kiernan.
