Photo Review: The Hives Live at Brooklyn Steel

The Hives brought their signature brand of electrifying rock ‘n’ roll to Brooklyn Steel on October 30th, delivering a high-octane performance that left the crowd buzzing with energy. Frontman Pelle Almqvist’s charismatic stage presence was as captivating as ever, while the band’s razor-sharp, punk-infused sound had the audience in a frenzy. From the moment they hit the stage, it was a non-stop barrage of relentless, foot-stomping anthems that had everyone on their feet. Decked out in matching, glow in the dark suits, the band not only delivered incredible music, but a performance that induced a pure adrenaline rush. Guitarist Niklas Almqvist matched frontman and brother’s energy as he leaned heavily into the crowd while shredding the guitar. The Hives took no rest as they powered through song after song, seemingly energized by a chanting crowd. Like a moth to the flame, Pelle Almqvist could not help but press himself against the barricade multiple times, before ultimately diving head first into the crowd, leaving no doubt that their live shows are still an unforgettable experience.
