Album Review: Dying Fetus – Make Them Beg For Death

Absolute face smacking musical vibes

Death metal band Dying Fetus have been dazzling people’s minds since 1991 and earlier this month the band released their 9th studio album Make Them Beg For Death. Each track is filled with hard hitting instrumentation sizzling the air with powerful sound while the vocal performances of founding member John Gallagher and bassist Sean Beasley singe the veins with righteous tones. Make Them Beg For Death shows how Dying Fetus is still very capable of shocking people with their musical talent.

Kicking things off is the song “Enlighten Through Agony,” and right off the bat the heavy blast beats of a catchy drum performance from Trey Williams can be heard shaking the background with great power. The drum playing from Williams is sure to cause some people to head bang while listening.

“Feast of Ashes” is a thrilling track that has killer low register vocals. While listening, the husky tones and authoritative voice lures listeners into Dying Fetus’s dark world. The best part is hearing the shriek of the lyrics, because each vocal range shows how much emotion the band can portray.

“Unbridled Fury” is a chaotic piece that has amazing lead guitar by John Gallagher. As a whole, the guitarist plays heart stopping, air guitar inducing riffs. The epic guitar solo blends in well with the endless insanity.

“Raised In Victory / Razed In Defeat” is a killer number that bleeds heavy heavy metal by how Beasley performs top notch riffs that blends in with the rest of the instrumentation. The vibrations from each note brings a strong sense of emotional insecurity.

Make Them Beg For Death is filled with promising hard-hitting music that can fill the death metal desires fans are wanting to hear. Dying Fetus has hit a home run with their latest release.
