Beth Orton has lived many lives in her lifetime, including living as a Buddhist nun in Thailand for some time. The release of her first solo album, Trailer Park, marked a significant turning point in her career. The album received widespread critical acclaim and a dedicated fanbase. Orton made a triumphant return with Sugaring Season in 2012. Subsequently, in 2016, she ventured back into the world of electronic music with the release of Kidsticks, further solidifying her reputation as a boundary-pushing artist.
