Courtney Barnett has announced new instrumental album. End of the Day (Music From the Film Anonymous Club) is out September 8 (via Milk!/Mom+Pop). It features music that Barnett had conceived for the 2021 documentary Anonymous Club. Below, watch a video for the record’s first three tracks, “Start Somewhere,” “Life Balance,” and “First Slow.”

In support of the new album, Barnett has also announced a brief North American tour, which kicks off October 11 in Brattleboro, Vermont. See a full list of tour dates below.

End of the Day will mark the final album released on Barnett’s label, Milk! Records, which she founded with Jen Cloher in 2012. Barnett plans to close the label. “It has been one of the great honours of my life to be a part of this incredible community and to work alongside so many amazing artists,” Barnett shared on Twitter. “Thank you to every single person involved XO.”

There are no lyrics in “End of the Day”; the consists of an ongoing instrumental. In the video, a woman, supposedly Courtney Barnett, is walking on a hillside. The first part consists of one shot of the hillside; Courtney can be seen walking from afar. In the second part, there are lots of yellow flowers and fog in the background. Courtney’s blue poncho stands out from nature. The third part consists of a shot of a random plant, then it fades to a shot of Courtney which zooms out slowly.
