Looking for new music and a place to enjoy a nice summer music vibe? Come see the new and upcoming band Sun Room at Scoot Inn on November 3rd! On Sun Room’s official website, they describe themselves as “some friends from Southern California who like to surf & make music out of their very hot garage.” The band has recently been catching the attention of music lovers everywhere for their vibrant sound and how much fun they have together on stage. This concert is the perfect way to spend your Friday night in Austin, Texas!
Members of Sun Room include Luke Asgian on vocals and lead guitar, Max Pinamonti on bass, Gibson Anderson on drums and Ashton Minnich on guitar. The four have always had a passion for making music and working incredibly well together as a band. So far, the band has released two EPs on streaming platforms and a multitude of singles. Their first EP was released on May 18th 2021 and is titled Somewhere Tropical. The EP can be described as being a part of the rock genre but also having elements of indie and alternative rock. Their second EP, Outta Their Minds, was released on February 23rd, 2023 and is classified as alternative in style. Their most listened to songs include “Sol Del Sur,” “Fun” and “Crashed My Bike.” “Crashed My Bike” was featured in the hit Netflix show Outer Banks and viewers enjoyed the song, causing them to look up Sun Room and give them a listen!
Sun Room has opened up for popular artists such as past One Direction member, Louis Tomlinson, and Inhaler. Sun Room also played at Austin City Limits right here in Zilker Park! These experiences grew their fan base exponentially and granted them the opportunity to put on a tour of their own. The band has expressed that they want this tour to mean something to their fans. They want their music to bring fun to their audience and fill their venues with lively energy. They have always favored house shows and want their performances to replicate that feeling.
Four young boys from Southern California know how to throw a party, and this tour will be no different! They love surfing, adventure and music and these three things combined make up for a chill, yet fun performance an audience can expect. Their connection with rock music helps them connect to their fans and truly appreciate the genre for what it is. The tour was just announced on May 16th on their official Twitter page. The band writes that they are “super stoked to get on the road again and play all the new music we’re workin on.” It sounds like new music is in the works and the audiences on this tour might be the first people in the world to hear it! Tickets went on sale on May 17th and are still available on Ticketmaster.com. General admission tickets are $20 and Pre-Show Acoustic Experience is $80. This will be an opportunity to connect with the band on a more personal level and hear an acoustic version of some of their greatest hits!
