Intense, solid and impressive
Thrash metal band Incite has been raising hell with their music since 2004 and recently released their sixth studio album Wake Up Dead. Each track is of the highest quality with the instrumentation shaking the atmosphere with hard hitting sound while the vocal performances contribute to the overall intensity with solid shouting. Wake Up Dead shows how much Incite has grown as a band.
Mind dazzler “Sucker Punched” is a killer composition featuring impressive guitar playing. The guitarist’s skills shake the background with electrifying riffs that can cause people to head bang while listening intently.
Heart stopper “Mental Destruction” is a wild tune that has Richie Cavalera singing his heart out. Throughout the whole number, Cavalera’s vocal performance remains authoritative while shouting out the lyrics in pure rage. “Mental Destruction” is a relatable, anthemic piece with Cavalera’s powerful voice speaking for the voiceless.
Thunderous track “Stagnant” has vein jolting drum playing from Lennon Lopez. Right off the bat, surging drum beats fill the air with righteous vibes and the best part is Lopez’s skills match the rapid musical tempo set by the rest of the band, creating a sense of cohesiveness throughout the song. “Stagnant” is a righteous track thanks to Lopez’s incredible drum playing.
Sizzler “The Aftermath” has great bass guitar playing from Christopher “EL.” Kicking off the track, a deep vibrating bass guitar relentlessly shakes the atmosphere with hardcore noise and the best part is hearing how fast “EL” can play. The faster the music tempo goes, the more impressive El’s bass guitar skills appear, cementing him as a quality musician alongside all of the heavy hitters in the band.
Wake Up Dead is an album for those who enjoy hearing skull crushing instrumentation and vocals. Incite have their feet on the gas pedal with their latest release.
