“Me and my head are enemies, I’m tired of fighting everything”, a battle of self that many have experienced and at a certain point total apathy begins to set in. The chorus begging the question, “Does anybody else feel numb?” lead singer, Bert McCracken calls out to those struggling with those same personal battles.

When drawing comparisons to songs of their past discography McCracken cites the band’s 2020 track, “To Feel Something”, with the chorus, “I just wanna feel something. Anything is better than this. I just wanna feel something. No different from anyone else. Wanna waste my time but not like this at all. I just wanna feel something. No different from anyone else”.

The perspective on “Numb” gives listeners a greater insight to the possible themes of this forthcoming album. Toxic Positivity being an album made for those who want to stop acting like everything is okay, a protest against the proverbial mask everyone is wearing. Allowing space for comfortability in negative emotions which can often look destructive, but this album will set out to make people okay with those things.

In support of this new album, the band will be co-headlining a summer tour with Pierce The Veil which will begin May 23 in Austin, TX and will conclude on July 2 in Phoenix, AZ. McCracken shared,  “We are more than excited for our first tour with Pierce the Veil. We’ve been friends for a long time and I know this will be a tour to remember. We can’t wait for you to hear some new music! We are so fucking stoked and will see you there!”.
