Album Review: Full of Hell + Primitive Man – Suffocating Hallucination

A work of musical madness

Music is universal and it is capable of perfectly merging two bands together to create intense melodies. There is no better example than Full of Hell and Primitive Man’s collaborative new album entitled Suffocation Hallucination. As a whole, all five tracks are filled with dynamic guitar and drum playing as well as thrilling vocal performances.  Full of Hell and Primitive Man both bring their all on this effort.

Opening track “Trepanation Of Future Joys” welcomes listeners to Full of Hell and Primitive Man’s wicked world where the guitar playing blazes the atmosphere with killer sound and each riffs boasts metal’s enduring success within the music industry. “Rubble Home” opens with fantastic bass guitar playing; the vibrations from the bass can be felt while each note and deep riff shakes the background with head-bang worthy noise.

Mind blowing “Bludgeon” is a classic example of what hardcore metal is like vocally. Right off the bat and through the static of the instrumentation, sharp and authoritative vocals can be heard screaming out in anger and, in a way, the vocal performance brings a sense of realism to the track as listeners can sense the deep emotion within the lyricism.

“Dwindling Will” is a bit different from the previous tracks because it is an instrumental. As a whole, each performance brings a feeling of impending doom. Each guitar riff and drum beat creates its own alarming insanity. Instrumentals may not be every listener’s go-to but Full of Hell and Primitive Man prove they do not need vocals on “Dwindling Will” as the powerful instrumentation speaks for itself.

“Tunnels to God” ends the album off with a bang as heavy and harmonic airwaves fill the space. What really shines on this track, however, is the drum playing. While listening, vein jolting drum beats create a cohesive, quality banger that will keep listeners returning again and again. Suffocation Hallucination proves that Full of Hell and Primitive Man are still capable of creating and performing quality metal music.
