Yesterday, Wednesday 22nd March, American singer-songwriter and actress Alison Sudol released the moving visuals for her poignant single via Twitter. ‘Come On Baby’, is a track off her autobiographical and intimate new album, ‘Still Come The Night’
The video was written and directed by Welsh actor and director Tom Cullen, and follows Alison and Tom Cullen through a journey of inner exploration and self-discovery. At the start of the video, Alison is presented as a broken spirit, having suffered a great deal of emotional pain. As the video progresses, she gradually begins to heal, finding solace in her connection with nature. Through her journey, Alison is able to piece herself back together, eventually realizing that she is not alone. The song’s uplifting and empowering message is expressed through powerful imagery and emotion, as Alison and Tom reclaim their lives and move forward.
The decision to share the new video now came after finding out that this Friday 24th March – Angela Crawley MP, will introduce a new bill that would ensure 3 days of paid bereavement leave for people who have experienced a miscarriage. As a supporter of the bill she is passionate about supporting it and what better way than with a video?
The video is not only a reflection of their own personal struggles, but a reminder that life is full of beauty, even in its darkest moments.
