Emma Ruth Rundle Swedish American Hall March 28-29th 2023

Dark and stormy indie rock with metal vibes is gloomy and cool. Here how to get in and rock the bad Nor/Cal weather.

Emma Ruth Rundle is little known to me but hey maybe you like her. Just now getting acquainted with her music and man is it nice! It’s definitely something I can get into. It’s slow, moody, dramatic, and distinctly American. I can dig it. So far my favorite song from her is Protection off her 2016 album entitled Marked For Death. You can hear some of that metal inspiration in that track. I also dig the rural spooky vibes she tries to market, right up my ally. Or backcountry? Barnyard? Whatever. There are no alleyways in the countryside anyway.

Anyway she’s scheduled to play with her band at the Swedish American Hall in San Francisco later at the tail end of the month for two whole dates! Wow-wee! Stop laughing at me and try to take my blog seriously! Just kidding, I don’t even take my own blog seriously. I don’t get paid enough to. I don’t get paid. At all. Ha. Ha. Very funny. Being broke hurts. Anyway!

General admission is $25. That’s pretty fair. Good price. The live performance is scheduled smacked right in the middle of the work week. Odd. Well I guess that explains the cheap tickets. That’s cool. Hopefully the venue will be super light and low energy both dates. It would definitely fit the vibes and the music and make everything that much more gloomy and doomy. I would like that. Sounds like a nice gothic date if I do say so myself. Doors open at 730PM and the show begins at 8PM.
