Mastodon Concord Pavilion April 20th 2023

Mastodon Gojira 2023 Tour Flyer

Super famous Sludge Metal veterans are scheduled to come back to Nor/Cal baby!

Mastodon! No intro needed so I wont give one. Ok ok maybe a small intro. These guys recently got a little more fame when one of their songs was featured in a scene from Disney and Pixar’s Monster’s U. I thought that scene was pretty cool and a great way to tie-in and represent the metal genre and its many fans. It’s a really great scene you should look it up on YouTube.

So anyway I guess Mastodon is to sludge metal like wheat Metallica and Slayer are to thrash metal. So ya these guys Asa result are pretty well known and very tenured and famous. Just saying. I personally have not spent very much time listening to their music but I respect the hype that surrounds them since I have heard of them from my young childhood.

Anyway, they are coming to CoCo County’s Concord Pavillion. That’s pretty sick because it is technically a lot more reasonable and way more accessible to a vast majority of fans who typically live in rural or suburban residential areas. Taking BART should be easy. I think. I don’t know man with all those delays. But also if you are going to take the metro rail then you would also have to spend time and money either renting an Uber or going on The County Connection public transit bus which is native to the Concord and Pleasant Hill areas. So don’t loose your clipper card.

Since this is a heavy duty, hefty, hefty, hefty, metal show then you should drink a lot of water before, after, and during the live event. Oh yeah and O forgot to say that the show is on a Thursday night? So is that possible for you? Can that work out? Do I care? I’m paid to write. Not to care about you getting time to go to a show or not.
