Delta Rae comes to Lincoln Hall-Schubas Tavern!

28/4/23 – Chicago, IL – Lincoln Hall-Schubas Tavern

The folk band Delta Rae comes to Lincoln Hall-Schubas Tavern on April 28th! The band is on their Return of the Witch Tour. The Durham, North Carolina band consists of Grant Emerson, Elizabeth Hopkins, Brittany Hölljes, Eric Hölljes, Ian Hölljes and Mike McKee. Delta Rae is responsible for their dark chanting song “Bottom of the River”. Recently, the band has released a holiday album entitled Hours Before Morning

According to lh-st.com, the band is based on a story told to the Hölljes about a girl who would summon the Greek gods to earth. The band has received positive attention from NPR, Washington Post, New York Times, as well as covering festivals such as Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, and Lollapalooza.

Delta Rae’s website offers a membership called Behind The Door. The membership offers fans a chance to get involved in the bands exclusive content. The three parts of Behind The Door are The Attic, Fireside Chats, and The Revival. The Attic reveals one thing from the band’s past, present or future each month. Fireside Chats is a way for fans to chat with the band. The Revival pays tribute to their 16 week residency in Nashville, Tennessee.

Delta Rae has a discography of powerful, dark and soulful songs. Each is adorned with humming strings, attentive drum beats, and powerful vocals. The harmonies that cover each track are intoxicating and pleasing to the ears. The beautifully constructed songs are impressive in their recorded forms, but should be even more so when they are performed live.
