Ari Lennox’s Two Day Residency at House of Blues Chicago

8/3/23, 10/3/23 – Chicago, IL – House of Blues

The first of Ari Lennox’s two day residency at House of Blues is sold out! Tickets are only available for the March 10th show. The r&b singer, Ari Lennox is celebrating her album age/sex/location. This is the singer’s second studio album through Dreamville/Interscope Records. The Washington, D.C. singer has been a part of the Dreamville collective since 2015, being a part of the GRAMMY nominated Revenge of the Dreamers III.

Now with her second album, Lennox continues to make her own imprint on music. Age/sex/location is a nostalgic r&b piece that is sonically reminiscent of the early days of the internet. This can be seen in “A/S/L – Interlude” which starts with a phone dial and the call canceling. Lennox talks about chat rooms and catfishing in the old days.

“Boy Bye” which features Lucky Daye is another song that harkens back to the r&b of the early internet days. The song splits itself between Lennox and Lucky having a conversation between verses they sing. The nostalgic energy is reinforced in lines like “Those lines belong in 1995”.

As the album takes a lot of inspiration from the nostalgia 90s, it pairs well with work from Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu. The live show is expected to have these influences as well and teleport you to a time that we are so eager to experience again.
