Grunge/Hard Rock artist comes to San Francisco with Hollywood music composer Tyler Bates who is known for the music behind the entire John Wick franchise, The Punisher Disney + series, and much MUCH more!
Jerry Cantrell is currently on tour and he has multiple opening acts and one of which has been in the business of Hollywood for many many years. First off, Jerry Cantrell has been in the grunge scene since the 90’s when grunge was major thing. If you look on his Spotify, you will see that he has a wide and expansive discography. He also used to be in Alice In Chains. A decent hard rock band for sure. Now as I can recall his most notable work would be collaborating with Tyler Bates on the track A Job To Do also featuring the talent of Gil Sharone. I’m not familiar with who that is sorry. Anyway, the song they worked on together is exclusive for the movie John Wick: Chapter 2 which was released in 2017. I adore the whole John Wick franchise! Tyler Bates has been in the Hollywood business like forever and his first official release was for the 2006 horror film, Slither. Since then he has been on a roll making so many soundtracks for TV, video games, and cinema. If you couldn’t guess, I am a huge fan of the song A Job To Do and so knowing these guys are teaming up on tour, it is exciting! Tyler Bates also made music for DC comics Dark Nights Death Metal! Wow, isn’t that just a comic books series? I didn’t think it was also a movie?… Also Jerry Cantrell made a song for DC comics Dark Nights Metal Setting Sun. It’s really not bad. He also made music for the Guardians Of The Galaxy movies, Hobbs & Shaw, God Of War: Ascension, Far Cry New Dawn, and man oh man the list goes on of MAJOR projects he has contributed to! I wonder what music will be played at the show…
