Charismatic performer Adore Delano brings their ‘Practical Magical’ to Metro!

15/2/23 – Chicago, IL – Metro

The talented and versatile performer Adore Delano comes to Metro on February 15th! Born Daniel Anthony Noriega, Delano has released three studio albums and an EP. Their discography reaches different genres and moods that showcase Delano’s talents and resilience to expectation.

Delano originally pursued their dreams of being a singer on American Idol. They later went on to compete on Rupaul’s Drag Race, where they placed as a runner up in season six. They were able to show their charismatic personality and singing talent while winning three challenges.

Post Drag Race, Delano started releasing their own music. Their first album Till Death Do Us Party is a classic club album. It feels like a perfect album for Delano to perform in drag clubs. In their second album, After Party, Adore Delano develops their pop style. The second album features a more mature pop sound. The production is clearer and the songs range from bangers to ballads.

Whatever is Adore Delano’s third album and shows a big genre shift. Delano harnesses their punk rock attitude with punk rock music. The album is full of grungy guitars and fierce vocals. Their most recent project is Dirty Laundry. The EP is closer in style to their third album, but features softer vocals and acoustic guitars. The closing song “Practical Magical”, features the soft rock style with Delano’s quirky lyrics to make a masterpiece.

The various styles and talents of Adore Delano will create a wonderful night of dancing, crying, and of course partying.

Opening for Adore Delano is Bev Rage and the Drinks. The Chicago based queer band is fronted by drag queen Beverly Rage with Sam Westerling on bass, Mary Rose Gonzales on drums, and Dan Jarvis on guitar. According to their website, the garage-pop band balances their colorful live shows with tongue-in-cheek lyrics with the “intricacies of mental health from the queer perspective.” Bev Rage and the Drinks celebrate the release of their album Exes & Hexes
