Join the heavy metal band Anthrax at Radius Chicago on January 29th! The band consists of Scott Ian, Frank Bello, Charlie Benante, Joey Belladonna and Jonathan Donias. Over 11 albums later, the band has had six GRAMMY nominations, as well as introduced their own whiskey and bourbon collaboration with NEZUMI Studios (AXS).
Anthrax is notorious for being one of the “big four” of thrash metal music. Along with Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer, Anthrax uses fast tempos and shredding guitars (AXS). They often use their music to bring about awareness of injustices in the world. By using the aggression of their guitars and drums, Anthrax discusses the mistreatment of Native Americans in their song “Indians”. They also show support to the hip hop/rap community by collaborating with Public Enemy on their track “Bring The Noise”.
For metal lovers this will be the perfect concert. Not only is one of the “big four” bands of thrash metal music performing, but joining them is Black Label Society and Exodus.
The American heavy metal band consists of Zakk Wylde, John DeServio, Dario Lorina and Jeff Fabb. After being a lead guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, Wylde formed BLS to keep the heavy metal spirit alive (AXS). Exodus is thrash metal band consisting of Gary Holt, Lee Altus, Jack Gibson, Tom Hunting and Steve Souza. The band is considered to be one of the pioneers of the Bay Area thrash metal scene!
