Electro-pop foregin powers; Polo & Pan come to San Francisco just in time for the new year.
Polo & Pan are not very well known in the great US of A, but have a major following in France and Mexico and predictably LA, California (because Mexican nationals). Polo (Paul Armand-Delille) & Pan (Alexzandre Grynszpan) make real interesting and unique music. It’s really not bad and worth a try before you die, because you will die. Food for thought (shrugs shoulders). Dry humor aside, their musical output is as if you mixed lo-fi (low-fidelity) hip-hop with bossa nova and house. It is quite the stimulating experience. A bit refreshing. Songs I recommend would be Zoom Zoom (which is what I’m listening to now as I type) and I recommend Ani Kuni – Edit and Les jolies choses. These are good songs that tell me these guys are actually legitimately creative and not some dumb band just wanting to be a bunch of attention whores by putting out a bunch of cookie-cutter, carbon copy same-old-same-old…. You get the point.
Well anyway dude how are you today? Are you ready for the show? Is there anything you need to take care of beforehand in order to make sure you can go? No, I’m not going to be there but I’m sure you’ll be fine and have a great time! You filled up the gas tank or your Clipper card? Good, good just checking. I have to admit though it will be hard to call out or get your shift covered on New Years Eve of all days! Bummer dude! Well, did you have anything else planned for the holiday? I bet not man, you straight up never have anything planned. Don’t lie to me. Looks like you have no choice then to go to this concert. At Least bring ear plugs or maybe your own wireless headset to listen to the person you’re on the phone with that you just met at the venue. Its not like you have to pay attention to the band. The goal is to take up physical space and just breathe. You can do it.
