Metal fans were treated to one terror-ific show when the ‘Trinity of Terror’ Tour came through Dallas this past Friday! The co-headliners for this tour were Motionless In White, Ice Nine Kills and Black Veil Brides, and the opener was the incredible Atreyu!
Opening act Atreyu started this concert with a bang! They really hyped the crowd up, and their performance was off the charts. They performed all their top hits like “Becoming the Bull” and “The Time Is Now”, even mid-performance leaving the stage to grab a drink and walk through the crowd! And right before their last song they duped the crowd by singing Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” and stopping mid-sentence yelling “Gotcha!” and closed with “Blow.” Overall, an amazing opening act and band!
Next was the co-headliner Black Veil Brides(BVB), another powerful metal performance! Lead singer Andy Biersack knows exactly h0w to charm the crowd! He was walking on every inch of the stage making sure fans from end to end could see him and giving them attention, even throwing out a few winks. The band opened with songs from their 2021 album The Phantom Tomorrow but went through their docket of songs throughout, closing with fan-favorite “In the End” a perfect ending song.
Next co-headliner was Ice Nine Kills (INK), and if you have never seen INK perform, you are missing out! Lead singer Spencer Charnas was absolutely killer, he had the best stage presence. Their set is always top tier theatrical with callbacks to classic horror movies, and each persona changed as the songs changed. During their song “Hip To Be Scared,” based on Mary Harron’s American Psycho (2000), Charnas wore a suit, sunglasses and the iconic clear rain jacket and axe before “slaughtering” a stage performer – head decapitation and all! They are someone to see at least once in your life, even if you are not a fan of horror films.
The closing act of the night was Motionless in White (MIW). Lead singer Chris Motionless was absolutely incredible – his vocals were off the chart and his stage presence was palpable. And the addition of The Cherry Bombs was just the icing on the cake for this performance. Overall MIW did an amazing set, each song was one hit after the next! They also now how to keep the fans happy and really into the performance.
Overall this tour is one for the books, all the artist’s were top-notch!
