Hard contemporary Blues Rock duo ‘bout to stomp in The Fillmore!
Larkin Poe plays a bunch of really nice and heavy blues rock! Never heard of these guys but I really love them now! The music is so AMERICAN and BLUESY! Makes me want to kick down the doors of my local Carl’s Jr. with spoked cowboy boots and order a double western bacon cheeseburger and a side of chicken stars with BBQ SAUCE! DON’T FORGET THE WHISKEY! Hashtag not sponsored or anything. Anyway! You think you’re an American? Do you even ‘Merica bro? Do you even CAW like an aggressive Eagle diving for the kill!? Well welcome to Larkin Poe, how American are you? I’m so American I lube my long-gun with apple pie that’s been put in a USA MADE blender 1,776 times to make it real nice and slick. I’m so American bro that I mix my preworkout with whiskey that’s been aging since the FIRST Fourth of July! I’m so American that the Baptist church I attend has its own corn field reaching 741,776 acres wide! Did I mention how that corn field hides a beautiful MLB-sized baseball diamond!? Now of course I’m only joking and none of this is true. But man it would be pretty American if it was.
Oh and here is another thing I forgot to mention, Larkin Poe is known for that song Black Betty. You know that song. It was in a car commercial irritating the living bonkers out of every one. You know it; it goes “black betty bamba lamb” over and over and over again! I’m sighing with frustration over here! Of course in reality you don’t remember that song and I forgot about it too because let’s face it: this group is irrelevant…. Only in America. On Spotify, it shows that Larkin Poe has a major following in Western Europe and the continent of Australia. Funny. You know, Balck Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi always said that even he found it funny that Brits always wanted to be American and that Americans wanted to be Brits, in a musical context that is. We are all attracted to the exotic of course.
