Rap group comes to San Francisco.
The Roots. No, not the rubbish fake tabloid news website. No, not the show which came out decades ago that all my black friends hate. It’s the name of a very talented music group! I know I didn’t know they existed either. Do you like rap? Do you like hip-hop? Do you like R&B? Do you like country music? Well that was random now wasn’t it? Well ya apparently so is their sound and they tend to get off on that as a point to stress. Look man I don’t have much to say either. Do you want to go to the show on the 29th or not? Do you have work that day? Well do you atleast have any PTO saved? Can you call out by getting someone to cover your shift? Or does that not even matter? What? Why are you looking at your screen like that? Are you dense? What, you seriously thought I was going to write an article about this rap group that I’ve never heard of before? Look I know maybe you like them but I’m just being honest. LAUGH OUT LOUD. My editors told me to write a blog style post about promoting to go see the group, not to write about the group. This is mxdwn (mix down) not Wikipedia (wiki-poo-poo). Get over it….. Look, I’m sorry about my bad attitude. It’s just that I work a rough job dealing with loud mouth, speak-to-much retiree karens. Working retail on the side I’m sure you can relate. But then again tickets to the show cost up to $150 a sucker. So maybe you have a good paying job? If not then why are you planning to go? $50 is as cheap as it gets and in this economy? In the holiday shopping season? Wow you must be loaded with deep pockets.
