The soon to be released album was recorded in the dead of winter in Michigan and Shepherd believes that the environment influenced the music and listeners will be able to hear the landscape in the upcoming singles. The odd atmosphere and the bonding that comes from the frozen tundra and isolation it brings will lead to an interesting sound. While spending a winter alone in a strange and unfamiliar house of animal skulls may sound unappealing to most, Butcher Babies are excited to explore a new environment for their new album. Hopefully their writing experience will lead to a new range of emotions for their listeners to resonate with.
