The Dead Bolts at Reggies Rock Club on Nov. 23

Feel thankful, Chicagoans; local band The Dead Bolts have an approaching concert on the eve of Thanksgiving. Check them out at Reggies Rock Club on Nov. 23, along with special guests Diet Lite and Totally Cashed.

The band’s most recent release is their May 2022 single “The Throes,” accompanied by a music video filmed during The Gas Money Tour. That previous year, The Dead Bolts hit a career milestone by dropping their debut LP, titled Pretty And Burnt Out. This 13-track record came out on Nov. 26, 2021 and includes five pre-released singles.

The album’s singles include “Keep It Movin’” and “Stay” dropped in 2019, as well as “What Gives,” “Some Are (Summer ) Lovin’” and “Sun Comes Back Around” in 2021. According to Chicago Tribune, The Dead Bolts wrote and composed most of Pretty And Burnt Out during the pandemic, which in itself is an incredible feat, not to mention the band’s members were then separated mostly throughout the Midwest.

Based out of Chicago’s South Side, The Dead Bolts consist of members Eddie Hennessy, John Rolence, Tyler Hancock, Matt Paske and James Ryan. Originally a cover band, the group published their first original work in 2018 as their five-track debut EP, Part Time. Subsequently and in addition to singles leading up to Pretty And Burnt Out, The Dead Bolts recorded a cover of MGMT’s “Kids” in 2020.

Don’t miss an opportunity to see The Dead Bolts perform live just before Thanksgiving, as they rock out at Reggies on Nov. 23. Joining them that night are supporting acts Diet Lite and Totally Cashed. Fans can still grab tickets by visiting Ticketweb.com.
