[Osees] UC Theatre 12/9

It is time to see Osees at the UC not by the seashore.

Now can you say that while on drums at a 2/4 pace at 180 beats per minute?

Neither can I.

And I do not care to learn how to do it either.

Osees is an old-school Hardcore Punk band formed in 2006 from another band called…. Thee Oh Sees? Wait, what? Are you kidding me? Well that is what Spotify says. Here is a link to their page click here. Fooled you. Now click here for Osees Spotify account. I saw on Spotify that they made a song for the Dungeons & Dragons video game. The song is called Arena Of Fire. By the way, these guys have a pretty 80’s yet a very noise driven aspect to their tunes. Think if Black Flag and Converge made an album together but paid tons of respect to classic Hardcore. A Lot of people would even consider these guys garage punk (so I hear on the web). Sure, go for it. Call it storage unit unpaid bills punk I don’t care it’s still punk. It sounds nice. The band I mean. Anyway…

They have a total of 174,244 monthly listeners on Spotify as of this writing. They are pretty popular in London so says Spotify. Next on the popularity list, comes Melbourne, Australia. Then Los Angeles 3.5 thousand listeners per month. Mexico City, Mexico and Chicago, Illinois trail behind accordingly.

On Spotify I clicked the link to buy tickets and it redirects me to Spotify’s merchant site. I saw that they have an opening act call Love Fiend. I looked them up on Spotify and man I actually think these guys are miles better LAUGH OUT LOUD. Check out the song Rock N Roll Pizza Man! Man that song is a banger and a really feel good one hit wonder type song! Wow! It is amazing! Do do do do do ROCK N ROLL PIZZA MAN WHOO! He drives all day in his mother’s sedan! Man, I love that song now! It’s really funny and catchy!
