[OFF!] The Independent 12/16

Hardcore punks “bout to go OFF! In San Francisco!

You like Hardcore right? Well I know you like hardcore techno but im talking about Punk. Well these guys are called OFF! And I don’t know why but why not? Gives me strong Fugazi, Black Flag, Bad Religion vibes! So ya a huge 90’s/80’s influence! Wow! Nice! In Fact they have been around since 2009 started by Circle Jerks and former Black Flag singer Keith Morris! Sweet short to the point songs you can find on their Spotify

On Spotify they have 82 and half monthly listeners. Ranging from places like Los Angeles, London, Chicago, Sydney and Melbourne in that order of most to least amount per major number of listeners. OFF! Has released a cover of Holier Than Thou by Metallica and it was released on The Metallica Blacklist album which features a whole slew of covers from many artists. Like many, many, many artists! Fifty-three to be exact! It was released back on September 10th 2021. It spans 245 minutes and 31 seconds long!

I can just imagine someone dressed in big black ranger style boots, deep black distressed denim pants, distressed denim jacket, and a nice mohawk waltz up in The Independent and go “OI OI OI!” LAUGH OUT LOUD! Then maybe some cool stuff happens in the mosh pit and someone loses a tooth. Nice. Also I want to point out that on the venue’s website they do like people to walk around and shop and eat prior to heading-banging the night away. The Independent loves the neighborhood they’re in. That being NoPa, or North of the Panhandle. Maybe a good time to drink LOTS of water before heading in. I’m serious, from experience I’ve learned many-a-time over that you REALLY NEED WATER when in a metal or punk show.
