Finish February in the best way possible: with a performance by The Beths. See the indie rock band perform on Feb. 25 of 2023 at historical Pilsen venue Thalia Hall. Presented by CHIRP Radio, The Beths are joined by singer-songwriter Sidney Gish for their Chicago performance this winter.
The Beths’ third studio album is also their newest. Expert In A Dying Field dropped in September of 2022, complete with 12 alluring tracks. The New Zealand four-piece group produced three singles prior to Expert In A Dying Field. Songs “Silence Is Golden,” “Expert In A Dying Field” and “Knees Deep” came out in June, July and August, respectively. The album topped New Zealand charts and will likely be source material for their February setlist. Not only did The Beths create Expert In A Dying Field in 2022, but they also published a non-album single titled “A Real Thing.”
The indie rockers of The Beths include members Elizabeth Stokes, Jonathan Pearce, Benjamin Sinclair, and Tristan Deck. During their music career, they have produced one EP, three studio albums including their most recent work, and a live album in the band’s hometown of Auckland, New Zealand. While they released multiple singles beforehand, The Beths premiered EP Warm Blood in 2018 as their debut project. Subsequently, the band dropped their debut studio album Future Me Hates Me in 2018 and Jump Rope Gazers in 2020, both of which were especially commercially successful in New Zealand.
