Canadian indie-rock octet with strange/provocative name comes to San Francisco’s Fillmore.
The New Porno Guys (as I like to call ’em), have just over 300,000 followers on Spotify with their most popular track being Challengers off the 2007 release of the same name. These guys have been around since the late 90’s and seem to have a loyal following. I’m sure you listen to indie rock and if you don’t there’s never a bad time to start. Really. I think this would be a great idea for a date or a night on the town with the mates.
I can picture it; you and your sibling just sitting there at a table for two. High stools, smacking away about what’s new and cool and how much your lives have changed since either one of you or both have left home. What’s that you say? Why aren’t I talking about their music? Dude. It’s indie-rock. What’s there to talk about? It’s chill upbeat rock music. Makes great background music honestly. Now seating at The Fillmore; that’s the attraction! That’s what to talk about! Look it up on images! It’s sick! Place is so cool! It’s like wow and reminds me of the Hard Rock Cafe! But it’s a rip-off!!! Just kidding. Laughs out loud. By the way, one of my editors called me and told me I can’t use leet speak, emojis, or SMS style acronyms anymore. So ya. Just going to spell out all acronyms from now on. Deal with it. Laugh out loud.
The Fillmore music venue and the Western Addition/Fillmore neighborhood are great places for friends, family and dates! You have a whole slew of restaurants, bars, boutiques etc. You’ll love it! Plus tickets are cheap! But there’s only enough room for twelve hundred people so hurry before they are gone!
