[Echosmith] Great American Music Hall- Nov 16th

Chino hometown soft-rock superstars known for singing way too much about grade school blues comes to San Francisco’s hardened Tenderloin district.

Have you heard of these guys Echosmith? No, not Aerosmith. Echosmith. Ya, neither have I. But have you heard that one song that goes ” La da dee dee da da na na na COOL KIDS, na na na la la la I want to kill myself la la la because COOL KIDS”. You know that really annoying, really dark and really addictive song about getting psychologically harassed by those pesky “cool kids” from your lame high school memories? Bro that song is so depressing! But hey you know you like it you masochistic, sad e-boy/girl. What’s an eboy/egirl? Don’t know, don’t care. Moving on…

Ecosmith has 3.8 million monthly listeners on Spotify as of November 1st 2022. And Cool Kids has almost HALF A BILLION plays on Spotify. Good job. You have to admit,  this song is super popular. I have to admit that I never ever thought I would ever write about these guys or this song. You’ve heard these guys cry about Cool Kids in your local Walgreens, Walmart, WaWa, Westfield Shopping Center… What else begins with a W?…. Whatever… You get the point. Did you ever think that you would want this song being BLASTED in your face in concert? Don’t answer that. Of course the only reason why I keep mentioning Cool Kids and not any other one of their songs is because that is the only song you’ve ever heard by them and you really wouldn’t care about anything else.

Funny enough most of their listeners come from Mexico City, at just under 60 thousand. I can see that with all the well-to-do immigrants from the USA living there not even knowing a lick of Spanish, in Starbucks jamming out to Echosmith over the PA system while eating avocado toast and a soy latte. Anywho, London, Sydney, São Paulo, and Chicago trail close behind in terms of listenership via Spotify.
