Slow Pulp at Lincoln Hall on Dec. 13

Look forward to a winter night at Lincoln Hall with Chicago-based band Slow Pulp. The concert comes with opener CRASHprez, and falls on Dec. 13.

Slow Pulp’s debut studio album is also their most recent, titled Moveys. The 2020 LP received generally favorable reviews. Since then, Slow Pulp has produced multiple singles in 2021, such as “Shadow” and “In Too Deep.” Additionally, the band released an EP in 2021 titled Deleted Scenes with two songs: “Iowa” and “At It Again (Again).”

Hailing from Madison, Wisconsin, Slow Pulp stuck to their Midwest roots by settling just one state over, in the city of Chicago. The band is made up of four members: lead vocalist Emily Massey on guitar, Henry Stoehr also on guitar, Alex Leeds on bass and Teddy Mathews on drums. The bandmates dub themselves a “dream-punk” group, according to their website’s bio page. Dreamy indeed, Massey’s ethereal vocals will ring sweetly throughout Lincoln Hall at their upcoming concert.
