Dayglow at Riviera Theatre on Nov. 4

Riviera Theatre has an indie pop performance coming in early November: Dayglow visits Chicago on Nov. 4 as part of his People In Motion Tour. Singer Ritt Momney is set to open the show.

Dayglow’s most recent release is an LP titled People In Motion. Dayglow produced his third studio album at the start of October 2022, about one year after his last LP. The artist successionally pre-released three singles before dropping People In Motion, including “Then It All Goes Away” in June, “Deep End” in August and “Second Nature” in September. Fans will surely hear these singles, as well as other tunes from the 10-track album at his concert on Nov. 4.

Often described as an indie pop project, Texas musician Sloan Struble started making music as Dayglow in 2017. He went by the stage name Kindred prior to Dayglow’s inception. One year after inventing Dayglow, Struble self-released Fuzzybrain, which later became his first studio album in 2019 when re-released by Acrophase Records. The cover art for Fuzzybrain famously features a self-sculpted clay model of Struble’s head. The debut album includes one of Dayglow’s biggest hits: “Can I Call You Tonight?” This popular single did especially well on U.S. rock and alternative charts. Harmony House followed Fuzzybrain in 2021. The sophomore studio album came with singles “Close To You,” “Something,” “Woah Man,” “Balcony” and “Medicine.”
