Soccer Mommy at SPACE on Nov. 2

Nashville singer and multi-instrumentalist Soccer Mommy will soon be in Chicago. Joining the indie rock artist is New York band Lightning Bug. Their approaching performance is set to take place on Nov. 2, just outside of the city in Evanston’s popular SPACE venue.

Soccer Mommy’s latest release is her 2022 summer album titled Sometimes, Forever. The LP marks her third studio album and earned generally favorable reviews. Sometimes, Forever features singles “Shotgun,” “Unholy Affliction,” “Bones” and “newdemo.” The album is Soccer Mommy’s most commercially successful album to date, and fans can see her perform tracks from Sometimes, Forever at the upcoming November concert.

Sophie Regina Allison, professionally known as Soccer Mommy, started her music career in 2015 during college. Since 2018, she has released an album every two years, starting with debut record Clean. In 2020, Soccer Mommy produced sophomore album Color Theory, which was the first of her LPs to chart. Color Theory contains 10 songs, most of which are titled either with a color or alluding to one. Singles from the album include “lucy,” “yellow is the color of her eyes,” “bloodstream,” “crawling in my skin” and one of her biggest hits from the album, “circle the drain.”

Kick off November with a performance from Soccer Mommy and opener Lightning Bug. The indie rockers will hit the stage on Nov. 2. Get tickets for their SPACE show at Eventbrite.com.
