Charlie Puth at Auditorium Theatre on Nov. 3

Charlie Puth is coming to Chicago. The singer-songwriter will perform on Nov. 3 for the tour stop, titled One Night Only. His show is set to take place at the city’s Auditorium Theatre.

Puth plans to release his self-titled album Charlie on Oct. 7 as the third studio album of his career. He has pre-released six singles, all from 2022: “Light Switch,” “That’s Hilarious,” “Left and Right” with Jung Kook of BTS, “Smells Like Me,” “I Don’t Think That I Like Her” and “Charlie Be Quiet!” as the latest track. Correlation between Charlie cover art and One Night Only promotional work suggests that his upcoming concerts will spotlight the album.

The New Jersey pop artist started his music career in 2009. His debut studio album Nine Track Mind dropped in 2016, and Voicenotes came out two years later. Nine Track Mind received double platinum certification in the U.S. and a combination of platinum and gold certifications worldwide. The LP includes popular singles “One Call Away,” “Dangerously,” “We Don’t Talk Anymore” with Selena Gomez and debut single “Marvin Gaye” with Meghan Trainor. “One Call Away,” “We Don’t Talk Anymore” and “Marvin Gaye” topped charts both nationally and around the globe.

Gold-certified LP Voicenotes also proved to be a commercial success. Starting in 2017, Puth pre-released singles “Attention,” “How Long,” “Done for Me” with Kehlani and “Change” with James Taylor. He did not publish the album’s fifth single “The Way I Am” until two months after the LP’s release. Though Voicenotes earned him a Grammy nomination in the Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical category, his collaboration with Wiz Khalifa earned him more.  2015 hit “See You Again” was nominated for three Grammys, including Song Of The Year.
