Years in the making, this concert was the peak of emo/rock culture under one roof. The AAC, where the event was held, has a capacity of 20,000 people and it was a sold-out event—Fans young and old packed the stadium seats. The opening acts Midtown really set the stage and prepped the crowd for the anticipated act. Once finishing their set, the vibe of the stadium changed and soon the “MCR” “MCR” chants began.
The set included My Chemical Romance classics as well as songs from their newer album. Fans had their phones out and sang every song loud and proud. It was a magical sight to see when the lights were dim and nearly twenty thousand flashlights illuminated the venue. The show was one for the ages and Dallas was glad to have MCR back in town! Can’t wait till the next one.
