Riz Ahmed Set To Play First U.S. The Long Goodbye Concert In Brooklyn

UK actor and rapper Riz Ahmed is going to play his first U.S. show, which is expected to be a one-off performance, at Brooklyn’s Warsaw on September 13. According to Brooklyn Vegan, the show has been two years in the making.

Ahmed released his The Long Goodbye album and its accompanying, Oscar-winning short film back in 2020. Ahmed was supposed to play in NYC back in 2020, but of course COVID ended up changing those plans. Now, the long-awaited performance is going to be held on September 13, now that the restrictions imposed by the pandemic have finally been easing up. Tickets for the show are already up for sale – fans of Riz Ahmed may want to book tickets as soon as they can, to ensure they get a seat.

Ahmed is not only a notable artist in the musical field. He is also a well-regarded actor of a high caliber – his Oscar winning short film is not the only experience he has with the award – he also was nominated for Best Leading Actor at the 2021 Oscars for his performance in Sound of Metal. He was the first Muslim actor to ever be considered for the award.
