This month, legendary rock band Blondie is coming to New York at Pier 17 with special guest The Damned.
Blondie is an American rock band from New York that formed in 1975. Current members are lead vocalist Debbie Harry; guitarist Chris Stein; drummer Clem Burke; bassist Leigh Foxx; keyboardist Matt Katz-Bohen; and guitarist Tommy Kessler. The band released their self-titled debut album in 1976 and became a success. In subsequent years, they released hit album after hit album and pioneered the American new wave scene of the mid-1970s in New York. They released several hit singles, including but not limited to “Heart of Glass” and “Rapture.” In 2006, Blondie was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
