Metallica Cancel Frauenfeld Rocks Festival Appearance Due to Positive COVID Test

Metallica canceled their headlining show at Fraunfeld Rocks festival in Switzerland tonight after someone in their camp tested positive for COVID-19. The band has no plans of making up for their tour’s only Swiss show. Other acts scheduled to perform at the event will stick to the plan.

Early today, Metallica released the following statement on the matter:

According to Loudwire, Fraunfeld Rocks organizer Wolfgang Sahli and Live Nation CEO Andre Lieberberg jointly commented, “The show must go on.”

7/3 – Bilbao, Spain @ Rock Day
7/6 – Madrid, Spain @ Mad Cool
7/8 – Lisbon, Portugal @ NOS Alive
7/28-31 – Chicago, Ill. @ Lollapalooza
8/11 – Buffalo, N.Y. @ Highmark Stadium
8/14 – Pittsburgh, Pa. @ PNC Park
