Dungen Announces New Album En Är För Mycket och Tusen Aldrig Nog For October 2022 Release, Shares New Single “Nattens sista strimma ljus”

Swedish psychedelic rock band Dungen has returned with the announcement of a new album entitled En Är För Mycket och Tusen Aldrig Nog. The record will be released later this year on October 7. In celebration of the announcement, the group has shared a brand new single “Nattens sista strimma ljus” which translates to “The night’s last shimmer of light”, a meditative and intricate title which matches the song’s energy.

The new song is delightfully mesmerizing and groovy with lustrous vocals courtesy of Ejstes. The single highlights the record’s dynamism as it is both soaring and mellow. Discussing the song, frontman Gustav Ejstes explained that it is about “when the fun has come to an end and you want to start over.”

The upcoming album will mark the band’s first studio album since 2015’s Allas Sak. Back in 2018, the band released a collaborative EP with American folk rock band Woods entitled Myths 003.

In a press release, Dungen revealed that their forthcoming album will be their most experimental yet. It pushes the boundaries of the genre of psychedelic rock, shattering criteria and disregarding previous standards. In this way, it is more authentic, after all, musicians should not, and have not, let genres contain their musical talents and endeavors. This is something that Dungen exercises fully, contributing to all types of rock including folk, classic, alternative, progressive and garage.
