This August, Metal Blade Records is celebrating its 40th-anniversary with a live show from death metal band Rivers of Nihil. Metal Blade Records is an independent label that launched the careers of bands such as Metallica and Cannibal Corpse. As part of its 40th anniversary celebration, the label will be hosting 2 shows in Las Vegas, and 1 show in New York. Rivers of Nihil will be playing at the Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn on August 6th.
Rivers of Nihil is a death metal band from Reading, Pennsylvania that formed in 2013. The members are lead vocalist Jake Dieffenbach; guitarist Brody Uttley; guitarist Jon Topore; bassist Adam Biggs; and drummer Jared Klein. In 2018, the band penned their album ‘Where Owls Know My Name,’ and have taken off to greater heights since. They went on tour for their album, and are now going on tour again with a new album under their belt. Their latest album, titled ‘The Work,’ has gained recognition and is a respected album in their genre.
