Legendary feminist rock band Bikini Kill has announced a global tour from July through September, with an upcoming concert in New York, NY at Pier 17, with special guest Ribbon Stage.
Bikini Kill is an iconic punk band that formed in the 1990’s by Kathleen Hanna, Kathi Wilcox, Tobi Vail, and Billy Karren. They are known to have spread the politics of the “Riot Grrrl” movement. Throughout the 90’s, they toured around the globe, promoting feminism and inspiring women to express themselves through the underground music scene. The band created original music from 1991 to 1998, and are not releasing new material at this time. However, they are currently going on tour and once again spreading their sensational feminist anthems.
