A raging thirtieth anniversary celebration
On March 18th, Final Cry released their 6th studio album, The Ever-Rest. This album marks the group’s 1st full-length album release since Zombique debuted in 2018.
Final Cry originated from Germany and first came together in 1989. This was a time of reunification for Germany. The Berlin Wall had fallen and Germany was whole again for the first time in decades. When the group first started up, they performed around Germany under the name Parricide. Parricide rebranded under the name Avalon in 1991 and then changed their name one final time in 1992, settling on Final Cry. Priding themselves on their fast guitars and drums, 2022 marks their thirtieth anniversary playing together under the name Final Cry.
Final Cry is currently on tour in Germany to promote The Ever-Rest. With The Ever-Rest nearing its release, Final Cry’s current roster consists of five members: Kai Wilhelm and Eiko Truckenbrodt on vocals, Holger Feldmann on drums and Sonja Sonnenburg on keyboards.
