On Feb. 25, 2022, Spiritualized is releasing their newest album Everything Was Beautiful via Fat Possum. In anticipation of the release, the band recently shared a track and video from the album, “Always Together With You.”

The track is both troubling and tranquil, alternating between calm acoustic strums and computer beeps. The video contains clips of earth’s wonders: whales, butterflies, birds and people moving naturally. Over halfway into the song, however, the song becomes more violent, and the video likewise becomes more destructive, with scenes of pollution and police brutality occupying the screen. The chaos of the music may stem from the fact that J Spaceman plays 16 instruments on the album and employed over 30 musicians and singers.

“There was so much information on it that the slightest move would unbalance it, but going around in circles is important to me,” said J Spaceman in a press release. “Not like you’re spiraling out of control but you’re going around and around and on each revolution you hold onto the good each time. Sure, you get mistakes as well, but you hold on to some of those too and that’s how you kind of… achieve.”

In addition to the upcoming album, Spiritualized is set to go on tour in the spring. The brief tour kicks off on March 31, 2022, in Dallas and ends on April 9 in Vancouver. They will be visiting eight cities: Dallas, Austin, Santa Fe, Denver, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Portland and Vancouver.  The pill box-decorated album is available for preorder here
