Ziggy Marley to perform tribute concert to his father at Pier 17 on 10/1

Ziggy Marley, son of legendary reggae musician Bob Marley, will perform at Pier 17 on Friday, October 1st. Doors for the show open at 7:00PM, and the show begins at 8:00PM. Tickets on the venue’s site are sold out, however general admission tickets can be purchased from Ticketmaster for $75.00. 

Ziggy Marley has been performing since 1979, and began his solo career in 2003. His music is known for its pop inspired reggae sound, which showcases his talents in traditional Jamaican music, and his ability to experiment with modern influences.  His most recent album, More Family Time, was released in 2020 and is inspired by Marley’s four year old son, Isaiah. The album features guest appearances from Alanis Morissette, Tom Morello, Busta Rhymes and Sheryl Crow, along with many others. 

Marley’s Pier 17 performance is advertised as a “live tribute to his father” and is sure to feature some of the reggae stars biggest hits.
