On John 5’s latest album, Sinner, the former Marilyn Manson and current guitarist Rob Zombie perform new track “Que Pasa” (which in english means what’s up) featuring Dave Mustaine, Megadeth’s leader on their current tour. Sinner will be released on Halloween which will also guest feature KISS drummer Peter Criss.
John 5 told AL.com how Mustaine became a part of their new track “Que Pasa,” “We had a sample from James Brown, and the record company was, like, ‘We can’t use that sample. We’ll get sued. Who would you want to use?’ And I was, like, ‘Well, I would love to use Dave Mustaine.’ So I reached out and he agreed, and he really liked the song and that’s gonna be the first video as well. It’s called ‘Que Pasa’.”
Que Pasa was played in front of a live audience and he did share a few words to thank the people for coming out. This is a fan-filmed video so some shots maybe shaky.
When Mustaine’s feature on Sinner was first announced, John 5 told 95.5 KLOS: “We have Dave Mustaine doing a little vocal thing. ‘Cause we have these little vocal hooks in each song. So it’s super cool. And Mustaine did it. And it sounds so good. I love MEGADETH so much, so I was, like, ‘Oh my God. We’ve gotta see if Mustaine will do it.’ And he kills it.”
