KISS Announce Las Vegas Residency, Share COVID Protocol for Upcoming Tour

According to Brooklyn Vegan, American rock band KISS has announced a short Las Vegas Residency this upcoming winter. The band has also revealed the COVID-19 protocol for the remainder of their End of the Road World Tour shows.

On August 16, the rock band announced their upcoming residency at the Zappo Theater at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, NV which will serve as the follow-up to their previous Las Vegas residency in 2014. The 12-date residency will start on December 29 and ultimately end on February 5. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, August 20 at 10 a.m. local time.

“There are matters of the heart and then there are matters of the pocket and it’s nice when they both converge,” said KISS bassist and co-lead vocalist Gene Simmons to Rolling Stone about why the band is returning to Vegas. “So it’s a very nice payday. They pay well and that’s reason enough. But it’s also easier for the band because you don’t have the wear and tear of traveling.”

Furthermore, he also told the publication how the remaining tour dates of their farewell tour will look like as the world continues to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. The traditional meet-and-greet experience where fans get the opportunity to go backstage and mingle with the band will possibly be replaced with an interactive soundcheck fan experience with plexiglas enclosures.

Even though there is yet to be an official vaccination requirement for the tour, Simmons encourages all concertgoers to get fully vaccinated and follow the CDC’s guidelines.

The American leg of the End of the Road World Tour will start in mid-August and go through mid-October. For information on KISS’ Las Vegas residency and upcoming tour dates, visit www.kissonline.com/tour.
