Common and Rapsody unite for Summerstage show on 8/22

Common and Rapsody announced a joint SummerStage performance on Sunday, August 22nd. The show will begin at 6:00PM at Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage in Central Park. Tickets bought in advance cost $35.00, and tickets purchased at the venue the day of the show are $45.00. 

Common is an American rapper and actor who has been a key figure in the U.S. hip-hop scene since the early 1990s. Throughout his impressive career, Common has won three grammy awards, one academy award, four BET awards, and a golden globe award. 

Rhapsody, the stage name for rapper Marlanna Evans, has received considerable critical and commercial success since her debut album, The Idea of Beautiful, in 2012. Since then, she has received two grammy nominations for her sophomore album, Laila’s Wisdom, and in 2016 she signed to Jay-Z’s record label, Roc Nation. 

If you want to see two of the most talented hip-hop artists perform together in Central Park, this is a show you won’t want to miss.
