Garage punk quartet Shannon and the Clams to perform at Webster Hall on 10/20

Genre defying quartet, Shannon and the Clams is scheduled to perform at Manhattan’s Webster Hall on Wednesday, October 20th. Tickets to the 16+ show are available on AXS for $27.50, or can be purchased at the venue the day of the show for $30.00. Doors open at 7:00PM, with the show starting at 8:00PM.

Shannon and the Clams have been confusing and impressing listeners since their 2009 debut album, I Wanna Go Home. Their sound is clearly inspired by 1950s rock and doo-wop, but smoothly mixes in aspects of 1980s punk and garage music. Their latest release, “Year of the Spider ” is the first we’ve heard of their 2021 album (also named Year of the Spider)  and maintains their vintage-garage sound that fans are accustomed to. The song is reminiscent of 1960s surf rock and delivers a delightfully nostalgic listening experience that is perfect for hazy summer playlists.

Shannon and the Clams has been described as one of the most influential bands in the modern indie rock scene, and are certainly some of the best performers to come out of the Bay Area in recent years.

If you want to be among the first fans to hear Year of the Spider live in concert, this isn’t a show you’ll want to miss.
