Illuminati Hotties Announce Upcoming Album Let Me Do One More for October 2021 Release, Go “Pool Hopping” in Sunny New Single

Illuminati Hotties, the indie-rock project founded by producer/writer Sarah Tudzin, has announced the release date of their third full-length album for October 1 of this year. The new record, titled Let Me Do One More, will be released via Tudzin’s new imprint label, Snack Shack Tracks, in partnership with Hopeless Records. The anticipated album is three years in the making and will feature notable artists like Buck Meek and Alex Menne. Let Me Do One More is available for preorder here.

Tudzin divulges about the anticipated album, “The songs tell a story of my gremlin-ass running around LA, sneaking into pools at night, messing up and starting over, begging for attention for one second longer, and asking the audience to let me do one more.” She goes on to say, “I love these songs and they’re a part of me and I’m proud of them.”

Alongside the announcement, Illuminati Hotties have also shared a new single from the album called “Pool Hopping” and an accompanying music video. Tudzin introduces the music video, saying “I’m so stoked to have grilled up a splashy new song & music video (directed by Katie Neuhof) to soundtrack your wettest & wildest parties to date. This track is for when it’s hot, you’re crushing on someone new, and your adventure senses are tingling. Come on in, the water’s fine!!!”

A smiley Tudzin’s playful vocals weave through bouncy percussion and chipper guitars, while shots of cannonballs and heart-shaped pool floats set the tone for the summery new single. Idyllic visuals pair with the track’s carefree lyrics to create a refreshing anthem about “dippin’ a toe into the deep end.”

After a sticky situation with a record label that couldn’t support the release of an album that the group had spent months developing, Tudzin recalls that “It felt like any momentum came to a screeching halt. It felt painful to pick up a guitar, to write, to record any loose ends that needed to happen to wrap up the album.” Longing for more creative freedom and control, the artist began her own imprint label, Snack Shack Tracks, through which Let Me Do One More will be released in partnership with Hopeless Records.

In April, Illuminati Hotties unveiled the acclaimed track “MMMOOOAAAAAYAYA” from their upcoming album along with an eclectic accompanying music video. The track was the group’s first release since their 2020 album, FREE I.H, and received the title of Pitchfork’s Best New Track upon its release.

The group will also open for alt-rock band Death Cab For Cutie at a couple of West Coast dates in September before headlining LA’s Zebulon in October. The band has played previously alongside acts like PUP and Potty Mouth.
