If you were a fan of dubstep back in the 2010s (let’s face it, just about everyone at least dipped their toe in it) then there’s no doubt you know who Flux Pavillion is. Flux Pavillion is the stage name of UK Joshua Steele, a man of many layers of talent. Steele is able to play multiple instruments, write songs, produce, and has a mastery of the drum machine while he’s DJing. Flux Pavillion was at the top of the dubstep scene, all while he was still in college. Many of his singles have been heard all over the world and topped the charts in the UK and the United States. He has collaborated with many other relevant artists and has continued to innovate his sound to this day.
Flux Pavillion is known for his multiple hit singles, and live performances. In 2010 he created his own production company with his friend Doctor P. Later that year he released his hit song I Can’t Stop. The song was sampled by Kanye West and Jay Z for their song Who Gone Stop Me? The song was also featured in multiple movies and media, played in stadiums all over the world, and for those lucky enough to hear him play it live. In 2011 he released the single Bass Cannon which also became wildly popular. He has also created a string of EPs, Lines in Wax in 2010, and Blow the Roof and Freeway in 2013. His debut album came out in 2015 titled Tesla.
Being one of the number one names in the bass scene, going to a live Flux Pavillion show is an experience you’re not gonna want to miss.
