Alice Glass has shared a new song called “NIGHTMARES” via New York label Sermon 3 Recordings. According to Pitchfork, the track is produced by Jupiter Keyes and will appear on the label’s forthcoming compilation Sermon 4 Anniversary. Sermon 4 Anniversary also includes music by the 83rd, Odete, DJ Deeon, Via App, Meth Math, and others. The album is due August 28.
“NIGHTMARES” is a heavy electronic filled track, much like the sounds of a Skrillex dub-step track, providing heavy bass, drums and synths. Check it out below.

The track marks Glass’ first piece of new music since last year’s “Sleep it Off,” which was part of the soundtrack to the film The Turning. Other artists on the soundtrack include Mitski, Courtney Love, Soccer Mommy and Kali Uchis. Prior to that, she released 2018’s melancholic “I Trusted You” that was a part of Adult Swim’s Fever Dreams compilation series as well as the gothic-themed video for her song “Mine,” which starred drag performer Violet Chachki. “… ‘Mine’ is about my struggle with coming out of an intensely abusive relationship. In the ritual of hurting myself or taking something from myself I am at the very least in control of that act, when in so many other aspects of my life I felt hopeless.”
Before releasing her self-named solo debut album Alice Glass in 2017, she served as the vocalist for the electronic music group Crystal Castles. With Glass, the band had gone on to make three albums after forming in 2006. After their high fidelity ranked sophomore effort Crystal Castles released in 2010, the band had charted on the Billboard charts for the first time, with their notable single “Not In Love” featuring Robert Smith of The Cure. Glass departed the band in 2014.
In 2017, Glass accused her former Crystal Catle’s bandmate Ethan Kath also known as Claudio Palmieri, of alleged rape and sexual assault that had gone on for quite some time. Glass stated that the relationship started when she was 15 and Kath was 25. Allegedly, Kath owed Glass around $20,000 in legal fees. Kath denied the allegations, expressing that he was “..outraged and hurt by the recent statements made by Alice about me and our prior relationship. Her story is pure fiction and I am consulting my lawyers as to my legal options.”Kath eventually had to owe Glass around $20,000 in legal fees.
